Fall Session With Miss R - Mooresville NC Photographer

It was my pleasure to meet little Miss R.

Going into this session, I had no idea what was to come. I've taken many photos of children over this almost seven year span of being a professional photographer, but I've never came across someone quite like little R.

A few months ago, I was a vendor at the Mooresville Big Latch On. I held a raffle and R's mommy won a free mini session. Mom is the owner of the location where we did the Big Latch On, so I have gotten to know her a little bit but only in a business sense. We had booked a session earlier but had to reschedule due to things coming up. I firmly believe, everything happens for a reason.

I didn't know then, and I didn't know going into this today, that I was going to photograph this beautiful little girl and her have such an impact on me and my heart.

Despite the hardships that this sweet baby has gone through during her almost two years of life, she has not let it get her down. She is such a strong, sweet, happy, full of life, full of expression, and loving little girl. I only spent 35 minutes with her today, and already, I love her.

After the hurricane weather passed, it turned out to be a beautiful day. We shot at a little place called Stumpy Creek, located on the lake here in Mooresville. The air was warm, but had a little fall crisp to it. Miss R was very excited and kept Mom and I busy while she was on the go. During the session, multiple times while I was shooting, R kept coming up to me and giving me loves. She would hug me and turn around leaning into me, so I attempted with no prevail to get a selfie of us with my DSLR camera. Now, I wish I would have thought to pull my phone out to do it, because I would have loved to have captured and have that moment to keep with me. It was so sweet. R is such a beautiful young lady, with her baby blues and beautiful smile. Her sweet little birthmark is too cute! She reminds me of a little porcelain China doll.

R, I know you are going to have bad days, but I hope you have more good days than bad. Know that I will be thinking of you often and praying that your days are easy and amazing. You have touched my heart sweet girl. Before my shoot with you, I didn't know what God was calling me to do with my photography, but because of you and because of him, I now know what I need to do. Because of that, my heart is filled with joy.

R's Mommy, I want you to know that whenever you need pictures of R or R and your family, you just let me know. I will do whatever I need to do to make sure you have the pictures you need. This is a gift from me to you. Thank you for letting me photograph your sweet baby girl and thank you for sharing with me the things you did. You are an amazing and strong woman and I admire you for that.
